The Great Steve's Ice Cream Debate was deftly spoofed in Boston magazine by my former colleague at AdEast magazine and Tab newspapers, Beth Teitell, a clever writer and all-around witty gal. That's me on the left in the photo during a stint as Public Information Officer for the city of Somerville, MA, under the honorable Mayor Eugene C. Brune. On the right is my then-boss, Steve Post, former head of OPCD. Despite his broken foot, I dragged Steve (no relation to the ice cream) to this location to get the Welcome to Somerville sign in the shot. Steve was in great pain, but it was worth it.
